It'll Work Out

"Things work out, it isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out, don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in him, if we will pray to him, if we will live worthy of his blessings, he will hear our prayers."
— Gordon B. Hinckley

in case you were wondering....

in case you were wondering the good newses of my day-

i finished my 8-10 page research persuasive essay today. :D guess how long it is.
8 pages and 2/3 of a line. i was NOT writing any more than i had to! clearly.

i ran for 30 minutes straight. the treadmill said it was 3.5 miles.... but i think it was a slow treadmill. but still, if the treadmill was correct, it was a personal record.

my throat no longer hurts, i just sound like a smoker. {it's really attractive, actually}

i watched a movie

my cute visiting teachers came over. i am a fan of them.

i got to talk to Taylor on the phone before he went to work. Which usually doesn't happen cause i am in class before he works.

i made potato chips.

i only wore a light jacket around campus compared to the big coat i've wearing for a week now.

the benadryl i took last night caused me to sleep through my first class. {yes, a good thing. becuase i needed that extra hour and a half!}

the institute lesson was made for me and what i needed to hear. i love it when this happens.

i got a donut and hot chocolate for FREE!

i had a little time to finally talk to my BFF Betsy. Which sadly, rarely happens anymore. :'(

i ate some chocolate M&M's

I didn't wear makeup

I didn't do my hair.

I looked drop dead gorgeous...... JOKE! but it's okay. some days you just need a break from putting make up and looking like a girl.

this is all.

And this is why

And this is why i love coming home-

I'm sorry i didn't rotate the pictures to the correct orientation. this is still something i haven't figured out how to do in blogger and was too lazy to do it before i uploaded them. {and then you wonder why i like cooking, i get it from my mom. and then you wonder why i'm not tooth pick skinny}
one day, i'm going to be like my mom. Im going to have warm cookies waiting for my kids when they come home from school, and teach them how to make delicious treats that can heal any situation. Even if you're emotionally exhausted and have had a poopy week. There is nothing quite like coming home. I miss my family. And i've missed orem too.
Cute sugar cookies

and more cute cookies!

even our piano has decoration on it.

seriously, every spot in the house has decorations for fall and halloween. I love it!

my daddy has a billboard on state street here in orem!
and on that note... i also filled out my absentee ballot form tonight. of course, i only voted for my dad. :D

And this is a rosa sauce with chicken and sausage and fresh parmesan.

and this is what i made :D

the table. does this not look absolutely amazing??

My posts lately have been very picture-less. I have been too lazy to put  them up. so, here they are.
did you know this?
a sign hanging on our wall of our apartment. allison made it, i drew the border.
Annie and I play tic tac toe together during class.
{We also watch Hitch}
the reason why the B is so big, because i won and didn't know it. so i
got really excited because i had no idea i had won!
this is a chemical in the photo lab. If i die, it might be because i was poisoned.
my temple picture is framed and on my wall of religiousness. :D
the mustache party. maybe i'll try to grow a big mustache, i think i could pull it off. especially with my bangs looking like they do in this picture....
this is my 3 d design sculpture. and guess what? it made it in the display case!!
which kind of is a big deal! Go look in the FAV and you shall see it!
this is billy. my pumpkin.
here's my shoe for 3d. and the shoe i modeled it off of is in the
middle so you can see how big the shoe actually is. those durn rhinestones took
FOREVER and a day to hot glue on.
finished! I added the bow.
my first worm at wendy's! with Lauren. I love that girl SO much. She is such a wonderful friend. :D i wish she was one of my roommates.

I just wanted to give a little shout out to my friend, Taylor. Last night I was having a girls night with Betsy, Anna {and her husband Brian....haha}, Tara, Annie, and Melissa, and Ashley. I walked into my house and there they all were. I was not in a particular happy or excited mood, but i was happy to see them there. Because i hadn't seen most of them in ages! Most of the time, girls night and ice cream does the trick. Not last night. Melissa was telling us all about her engagement story, and everyone had all these cool things to talk about and then everyone was youtubing these cute love songs that normally i would be "aww!" ing over but i just was not feeling it. I was leaning my head on betsy's shoulder and she was playing with me hair. She knew what was wrong and i was thinking to myself, "I can't do this anymore. I am going to go to bed." when i get a call. From Taylor. There is absolutely nothing in the entire world that could have made me feel more better than what he said right after i gave a week greeting of "hey". He said, "Brianna!! Did you know that you are a wonderful and beautiful daughter of God and that he loves you?" It was a good thing that before i answered i had begun to walk up the stairs because i lost it. There was absolutely no stopping the waterworks this time and i really didn't feel like explaining to all the girls downstairs what the problem was when they were all having fun telling their cute stories. He let me cry for a minute and then he said "for some reason i've been worried about you all day! what's wrong?" I told him i just needed to laugh and he promptly told me a pretty funny thing that happened to him the day before. And then we sang the mickey mouse club house song together like old times and he gave me some good advice. So, thanks Taylor. You're one pretty great friend! I hope i get to see him this weekend.

p.s. i feel as if i should mention that i usually don't cry this much in one week. I don't know what is wrong with me.... okay so i do. But still, i'm not usually this emotional. and next week- i PROMISE i'll be back to my normal happy blogging self. :D

Here is we from the summer. the ONE picture i finally convinced him to let me take.

Little Miracles of the day

So today was great. Wanna hear my tender mercies of the day? Okay, grrreat!

So I went to school all worried because for some extremely odd reason school has gotten ahead of me this year. This new word has entered my vocabulary. Do you want to know what that word is? It starts with "pro" and ends in "crastination". Here's the definition  in case you don't have it in your vocabulary like i used to not {and it's a funny definition so you should push that link!} And believe it or not, i'm not as stressed as i usually am when trying to get things done way ahead of schedule like i usually am doing. and I still have gotten everything done on time.

So today I was thinking about everything I would have to get done in the next 2 or 3 days. But guess what?

  • my photo midterm portfolio is now due on the 27th {which is also known as my 19 and 2/3 Birthday in case someone wanted to sing me 2/3 of the birthday song or bring me 2/3 of a dozen cupcakes} instead of a week from today!
So then I went to English and we were supposed to have a rough draft of a paper due on thursday. but

  • class was canceled on thursday! so, this also means that the grammar lesson that was my turn to present isn't going to happen on thursday either! So now, that stuff is due on tuesday instead.
  • Which also means that i get to go get a scotsman dog with a friend for lunch now cause i don't have that class in the way.
tender mercy. HECK YES!

so then i was trying to figure out why i didn't have a score for my tax assignment in my family finance class {the first assignment of the semester} when i had scores for assignments due after. So i checked my messages on blackboard and i had a message saying that the assignment didn't attach properly and therefore was blank. So I went home and on my laptop tried to locate the assignment. guess what? It was NOT there. sigh. so then i went to re do it and got my notes out and

  • i had written down on my notes all the answers as i went along on it the first time. So I didn't have to really re do it,  just re-write it out.
Then i came home and i had a letter from my grandma Cobb. She probably thinks my favorite part of getting mail from her is when she sends me money, but i really love the cute little notes she writes. they all go into my journal and really mean a lot to me. I had a rough photo critique today and

  • the letter she wrote said "Hi Bri, Hope your week was good. Love you! And I love looking at your gorgeous photos. Keep working hard. We love you SO {double underlined too. :D} much! Grams & Gramps" Super sweet right? I miss them so much. They're my heroes. I wish they didn't live in Washington. They're the only ones that ever send me mail. {if any of you want to send me mail, feel free}
my favorite quote of the day-
"on a scale of 1 to 10, how sweaty was _____'s hand?" - Allison. hahaha. i about died of laughter. Good times.

Also, i cannot wait till i come home from school tomorrow. Why? Because Allison and I are making fancy cupcakes! and then tomorrow night i'm going swing dancing with several people!! I love swing dancing!

Also, these pictures crack me up. :D

fallin'

ya know that one colbie caillat song? the one called fallin for you? yeah, well i think it is kinda describing some things in my life right now. 'nuff said on that

my favorite part of work today was calling this one number and instead of a ring before they answer it, it was "i'm a barbie girl." {ya know, sometimes people pay more a month and when people call you they can hear music playing instead of the ring tone??} but that wasn't the best part, a guy with a waay deep voice answered it. hahahahaha! it was wonderful!

yesterday was probably by far the best day i've had since coming home to Orem.
i had to work. but then i drove around the cemetery and i LOVE the cemetery on memorial day. it's beautiful!

i dropped the letter lauren wrote to the mailmen
it said, "we love mailmen!" aren't we clever?? they probably were so happy when they got it. :D

we played volleyball on sand that was wet and freeeeezing! my feet have never been so cold at the end of May before.
i really like the kids in my ward! there are a couple that i've become relatively good friends with. it is fun to see them a few times a week! :D
after volleyball we watched youtube videos at sara's house and kept remembering funny ones to watch. here was a new one that i've never seen before. it makes me laugh.

alright i'm going to bed. Sorry this post was boring tonight.....
p.s. ya'll should follow my blog. :D

p.s.s i Love Melissa Q. and boy advice from her. haha. love her. ya'll should be jealous your not her friend. :D
