Second. I went to my first ever USU hockey game. here is what i noticed-

• they smell waaaay bad. 
• people cheer when the players smash each other into the glass. 
• when there aren't many fights, the fans get irritated. 
• there's a lot of swearing.
• it smelt bad. 
• we won 4-1
• nearly everyone on our team is from Canada {don't say "Canada" in front of Taylor because he'll break out in the Canadian anthem. All verses. I learned (well... i'm working on learning this) this the hard way. I pretty much have it memorized myself now. I think he loves that country or something. ;) i guess that's what serving a mission in a place for 2 years does to someone. haha}
• it smelt really really bad. 

  

third- 

today i finished shooting for my portfolio!

alright, i'm sick of numbering. so i'll just write the rest.

I went Christmas shopping a little today with Allison! first of the season. Allison and I came out of a store and the whole outside smelt SO bad! We decided that it smelt like a poo factory blew up. Honestly, i have never felt a more foul smell outside. It smelt like this for over an hour too! I really want to know what made it smelt so bad though..... or maybe i don't. who knows what it was. 

I got something really cool today. I can't say what it is, because it's a present for someone. but now i'm excited to finish this present. I love presents that are unique and individual. I'll take a picture of it when i'm done and then post it after Christmas. So, get excited!

Good news of my day- I got to see my roommate, Melissa Q W H III !!!! i haven't seen her since she got married on 11-11-11. So it was a happy day! i love that girl!

So i think i'm going home on Thursday now instead of Friday. :D So this'll be good too. 

I have to decide by January 20, if i am going to FOR SURE go on the study abroad to Germany trip. I want to go sooo bad. But i just need to make sure i'm going to have enough money for it. It's going to be close. If anyone needs pictures taken for anything i'd love to do them! If i booked several photo shoots soon it'd make things easier. haha.

So my friend, Annie, just came by and gave Betsy and I the funniest re-enactments of how she kisses. It might have been the funniest/grossest/ nastiest thing i've ever witnessed. best quote from it- "and that is a sign for "let's have some fun!" " haha. love that girl. p.s. we both got the exact same amount of points in our Family Finance class {hmm... i wonder how that happened} we congratulated ourselves on our grade of an "A" today. You know you have a really easy class when you end up with an "A" in the class and the only thing that you ever did in class was watch movies and T.V shows. I'd recommend this class because of it.

Dec. 28. It's going to be a great day. Once again, this is a surprise. But i have some grand plans for this day. I am so so excited. And Taylor had better get it off work. 'Cause if he doesn't, i probably really will cry. He has no idea what's going on either, but i do. :D  But really, you're going to want to come back on December 29th and read about what i did the day before. :-) 18 days. wowzas! not far away.

• stuck in traffic because a truck full of hazardous materials crashed into another car. {if i get cancer, this is why}

• did a man's job-fixed the blinds. {w/betsy and all we used were a screw driver and needle nose pliers. who needs men when you have the brains of dedicated college girls??....}
• swam at the oakridge pool.
• found that even as adult college students, some guys still take their Flintstone vitamins. whatever it takes to be healthy!

• and garin wore betsy's shorts. hahahahhhahhahah. top 10 funniest things of my semester thus far.
• hot tubed and scooped dead bees out of the hot tub. sick
• tried this new kind of top romen called "creamy chicken". sounds good, no? wrong! DO NOT give in to the temptation to try this kind. it is deeeee scust ing. trust me.
• girl talk
• Betsy became my mom. and i might become her aunt. we should write a song similar to "i'm my own grandpa" minus the annoyingness of it.
• oregon trail on Betsy's i touch. and 2 of my 3 kiddos got carried away by the balding Eagles! So sad. i cried. but only a little.
• how to lose a guy in 10 days. "our love fern!!!! you let it DIIIIIIEEEEE!!!!!"
• met my FHE dad and brothers. FYI, it is possible to have a dad younger than you.
• saw the first "bourne" movie for the first time!

this was right before we watched the movie. haha

well that's good for now. I'm not cooking anything too elaborate tomorrow for recipe wednesday. but it's still something i've never made before. get your excited faces on!

Turtles & Cheetahs

how can one week go by so slow, yet so fast at the same time?

how it's gone by slow {we'll call these guys the turtles}-

• betsy is coming tomorrow and so time has drug on and on.
• work has been ridiculously slow. like so slow that i drew two sketches and painted my nails! and i even did THREE coats on my nails! so, i guess it was rather productive.....?

okay, that weird thing with buttons is the "dialer" at my call center job. and it looks similar.... ya know, only with about double the keys.... i got lazy, give me a break.

• then waiting for the safety and emmissions testing done was not fun either.
• THEN waiting at the DMV is insane. i'm pretty sure with how many people get crammed into one room with random numbers being announced over the intercom in a robotic voice could send someone to the insane asylum. just sayin. And then the lady had the nerve to tell me that i shouldn't get my Aggie license plate. psh! She was a Ute fan, what do they even know?? :P

isn't this the most attractive license plate of life?? {i thought it wouldn't be smart to put my real plate number up. but i left the two c's cause i thought that was pretty lucky. sorry for the horrid editing job. i just didn't want to spend too much time on it}

• i haven't done anything except work and sleep, oh and i did read a book in four hours {see bullet point in the cheetah section}
• time goes by really slowly when you're waiting for a text from that one person you kinda sorta maybe might have a little itty bitty tiny itsy teeny crush on.
• and then, time goes by even slower after he may have invited you to do something, but you can't go cause you have to work.
• and then, even slower when he sends a text that is totally confusing and thus makes you go into a position where the only option is to over analyze every word.
• thus making you text your sister, ash, to get advice
• where you then wait for a text from her that says, "oh, man!" but no good advice.
• yeah, i think that's about it. :D

how it has gone by fast {the cheetahs}

• i read a romance novel. *big cheesy smiles inserted here* and it was kinda on the ridiculously funny side of romance novels. i literally thought i was going to wake Emilie up from laughing so hard at 3am. it's called, "previously engaged." it's not extremely well written and is pretty cliche but the author was really hilarious and it was definitely good for a laugh.
• when you sleep till noon cause you stay up reading all night, generally your day feels like it goes by faster.
• when you're always in a hurry to get things done it generally goes by too fast too.
• For instance- if you get off work at nine {even though NO ONE was in the store and your boss won't let you start counting out till 9:07} and your brother's baseball game started at 8 and ends at about 9:30 and he's in the beginning of his last inning of pitching, and you are speeding in your new car, and you're praying that there's a parking space next to the field he's playing at {which there wasn't} and you're still wearing your hideous work outfit {that makes you look like shamoo} hoping no one you know sees you, time goes by waaaay too fast. But don't even worry about it. i got his last 3-4 pitches photographed! :D and i only saw a few people i knew. :D

• time goes by fast when you have too much to do before work. then when you get home, you don't feel like doing your laundry you didn't have time to do before work. So then it still sits in it's cute little gray basket.
• when you're trying to think of new ideas for the wedding you're shooting this saturday and no new good ideas are flowing through your head.

so i have some news-

my blog has now reached 11,000 hits. :D cool beans, no?

and, my brother could probably be on some pretty successful advertisements.

i'm sure he'd want me to point out his awesome new shoes. they are blue and gold. :D

i'm surprised Costco didn't kick us out. for this and his ability to down way too many samples at once.

From Logan to Orem, from college to home, from packing to unpacking

So usually i'm the one nagging my sister about blogging, and now she's nagging me. which btw is not fair. cause she only blogs once a month. if that. So this one's for ashleigh.

i haven't blogged in a few days cause i've been feeling very overwhelmed/depressed/bored/sad/nervous/not wanting to come to terms with not being in Logan.

BUT i promised Melissa that i would continue blogging so she wouldn't have so many Brianna Withdrawals. {miss you melissa Q. W. III}

so here goes. there are going to be tons of pictures and then captions and bullet points. and that, my friends, is going to be how it's done tonight because a- my feet hurt from working today, b-it would be too long otherwise, c cause i said so.

Thursday went as follows-

i was super super accident prone on thursday. i finished packing. and then i did 90 percent of my 30 clean check items apx. including shining the toilet paper holder. :D {that was really an item on my list, furreal!}

• cleaned Betsy and i's bathroom.
• cleaned the half bath downstairs
• washed the dishwasher {how ironic}
• cleaned the photo 2 darkroom
• made bacon {like the pig kind, not the money kind}
• sliced my right calf with an x-acto knife. it cut through my art bag and then sliced my leg. and it stung. and bled. and here is a picture. {please ignore my unshavedness}

• sliced my finger while cleaning the floor under the fridge
• spilt pear juice on my laptop case
• left my purse at the photo lab that had all my textbook buyback money in it.
• smelt like chemicals and B.O. by the end of the day. but i showered so it's fine.
• found out i got an A- in photo 2! which is the equivalent to moses parting the red sea. kid you not. BUT all the studio art teachers have this thing called "not ever going to give an A in any class ever because we hate you and think no matter how much you've improved and how good you are that you can always always always be better and do more and spend more time" so therefore i got A- in all 3 my studio art classes and A's in my other two (planet earth and photo history) :D which is kind of similar to last semester only i got a B+ in drawing instead of an A-.

Friday went as follows-

• watched a crazy old lady dumpster dive in the farm's parking lot!!! it was slightly awesome! she found some waaaaay intense things that some dumb college kids should not have thrown away! She gave Betsy and i some good laughs.
• played carrot baseball

a bat shaped like a carrot. :D

• went to D.I. and dropped off junks and played a bit. and i bought some work pants too.

• then went to Cal Ranch to find a cowboy. And Melissa and Betsy nearly died of laughter over something that josh said, that i still have no idea why it was funny. and guess what. the only cowboys we say were old. what a depression maker. :(

• then we took after crazy lady to see what we could find in the dumpster. Only the only cool things we found were a lamp, a seashell picture frame, and 3 plungers....

• and then we saw deer on ireland hill "why aren't i zooming??". remember ireland hill? well now you get to see what it looks like!! you lucky things. :D

• went to my dad's singles ward at BYU. {yuck to the BYU ward}
• met a cute guy named lance {who i found out later was waay too old for me}
• got introduced by my dad to his ward as his wife. hahaha. which i corrected promptly. it was the best thing ever.
• went to my home sacrament meeting to hear emilie speak
• made a beautiful mother's day dinner. :D (my mom is the GREATEST!!!!}

• learned a WHOLE lot better how to drive a manual car with dad.
• went to G&G Dickerson's for dessert.
• had fun with my cousins
• went to bed at ten thirty. weird.

Monday

• went to work. got put on the WORST checkstand there ever was. i hate express. so during college i changed a lot. like A LOT! As in i am so much more okay with having a good conversation with strangers. And i like to talk even more now. And Melissa taught me the first thing i should look at when talking to a guy is there left ring finger. AND I DID THAT TODAY AT WORK! it was the most weird thing ever! i had never noticed it much before! but i do it! weird. but it came in handy because-
• i flirted with an unwed cowboy. for like 10 minutes. Never in my life did i ever think i could/would do that at work. but i did. Boy have i changed.
• went to like 30 places in orem trying to find applications for jobs. and i have a lot more confidence now than i did a year ago. I've learned a ton about myself and about how to present myself too.
• went to ashleigh's condo cause she gets bored while nathan is at work.
• we watched a movie while i filled out applications.
• only she just texted nathan the whole time so i don't even know why she wanted me there.
• found out that a newly weds place is not safe to wander around.
• came home, and am blogging.

but, this came in the mail today. Have you ever been sent a bag of non-poop?

like, if you ever have been sent a bag of poop, would you want people to label everything they send you after with "no poop"

i don't get it. But it made me laugh that the biggest word on the page is "NO POOP" haha
