one day, i'm going to be like my mom. Im going to have warm cookies waiting for my kids when they come home from school, and teach them how to make delicious treats that can heal any situation. Even if you're emotionally exhausted and have had a poopy week. There is nothing quite like coming home. I miss my family. And i've missed orem too.

My posts lately have been very picture-less. I have been too lazy to put  them up. so, here they are.

my first worm at wendy's! with Lauren. I love that girl SO much. She is such a wonderful friend. :D i wish she was one of my roommates.

I just wanted to give a little shout out to my friend, Taylor. Last night I was having a girls night with Betsy, Anna {and her husband Brian....haha}, Tara, Annie, and Melissa, and Ashley. I walked into my house and there they all were. I was not in a particular happy or excited mood, but i was happy to see them there. Because i hadn't seen most of them in ages! Most of the time, girls night and ice cream does the trick. Not last night. Melissa was telling us all about her engagement story, and everyone had all these cool things to talk about and then everyone was youtubing these cute love songs that normally i would be "aww!" ing over but i just was not feeling it. I was leaning my head on betsy's shoulder and she was playing with me hair. She knew what was wrong and i was thinking to myself, "I can't do this anymore. I am going to go to bed." when i get a call. From Taylor. There is absolutely nothing in the entire world that could have made me feel more better than what he said right after i gave a week greeting of "hey". He said, "Brianna!! Did you know that you are a wonderful and beautiful daughter of God and that he loves you?" It was a good thing that before i answered i had begun to walk up the stairs because i lost it. There was absolutely no stopping the waterworks this time and i really didn't feel like explaining to all the girls downstairs what the problem was when they were all having fun telling their cute stories. He let me cry for a minute and then he said "for some reason i've been worried about you all day! what's wrong?" I told him i just needed to laugh and he promptly told me a pretty funny thing that happened to him the day before. And then we sang the mickey mouse club house song together like old times and he gave me some good advice. So, thanks Taylor. You're one pretty great friend! I hope i get to see him this weekend. 

p.s. i feel as if i should mention that i usually don't cry this much in one week. I don't know what is wrong with me.... okay so i do. But still, i'm not usually this emotional. and next week- i PROMISE i'll be back to my normal happy blogging self. :D

Here is we from the summer. the ONE picture i finally convinced him to let me take.

Since I've been gone.

People are kind of crazy sometimes {hold the kind of}. Just throwin' that out there.

So since i have last blogged, here's what i've done-

• watched a very intense, very disappointing, very sad, football game at BYU's football field.

• took 3.5 hours to get home to Orem when it normally takes 2.
• ate some pretty darn good home cooked meals
• spent at least 36 hours in the advanced darkroom.
• watched 8 hours of conference
• updated my photo blog's look. i think it's pretty. 
• Saw on FACEBOOK AND NOT FROM THE INDIVIDUAL that Melissa Q is engaged! {my roommate last year!}
• thought about going scuba diving.
• saw Ashleigh's belly. it's not even big yet. sigh of disappointment. 
• got new car mats 
• drank a dr P.
• had fries at 5 guys {my VERY favorite fries}
• got a glitter kiss tattoo on my neck. haha {the kind you put on with water}
• dollar store run

• walmart run. had to buy CR2 batteries for my NEW camera! :D :D :D  {do you realize that these batteries are 5 bucks a piece??? and i need 2 for my camera!} have you met the newest addition to my camera bag? meet goldy. she works like a babe.

This is my new camera. i need to
get a strap for it now.

• learned some awesome moves for swing dancing. craved to go swing dancing but couldn't cause i was locked in the darkroom. 
• finally feel like a BFA photo major instead of just BA art major. 
• got to know the people in my major a lot better. it's crazy how well you get to know each other when you're all crammed in a nearly pitch black tiny room sniffing photo chemicals that may or may not be good for your liver. 
• ate a lemon poppy seed muffin during a photo guild meeting. 
• helped change the name of photo guild to.... the 18%ers. get it? we're getting 18% gray shirts that say 18% on them and aprons that say "photographers do it better in the dark". pretty cool. if you get the 18% gray part, i know you have knowledge of photography. if not, don't worry about it. you can google it if you really want to know.
• used a mono rail 4x5 camera with paper negatives with an ISO of 5 with the cool vintage style black cloth and such. i feel like i came out of the movies aristocats when i use it.

• watched Hawaii 5-0 and ANTM. 
• forgot my conference notes at home. :'( this is sad cause i was going to quote some of my favorite lines from conference for ya'll.
• got stoked about a SECOND temple in provo!!

• came home to logan.

first things first- let me go grab my journal so i may give you a good list of everything i've done {activities} since moving to logan. {and brace yourself/[selves if you have multi personality disorder]}

• stuck in traffic because a truck full of hazardous materials crashed into another car. {if i get cancer, this is why}
• played ultimate frisbee
• shared a bowl of top romen with betsy. lady and the tramp style :P
• woke up to a serious banging on my window by the window washers.
• comedy improv; The Antics
• put my fishies Whisk and Teaspoon {male and female beta's} together and all they did was eat each others fins!! so i separated them again. bad, fishies. bad!
• canoeing and cliff jumping.
• edited pictures of my cousins
• discovered pinterest.com
• taste of logan
• swing dancing x 2
• grandpa cobb turned 79! {FYI- the grandpa my first son will be named after- James}

• found out the ratio of girls to guys in my ward is 3{girl} to 1 {boy}. Which isn't as bad as the ratio last year 4.5 to 1. {does anyone know if boys actually go to school. cause i'm pretty certain there are more girls everywhere i go.

• kinect dancing. {hardest thing of my life. like harder than trigonometry probably.}

• made the most delicious things called lasagna rolls {and it's even 'funner' if you say it la zagggg na rolls. am i right??}
• phone tag
• day on the quad. got free toilet paper roll and lots of other free things!
• built a bridge out of popsicle sticks and hot glue
• did my laundry
• learned that taking your camera on a an airplane ruins your digital sensor. DON'T DO IT!
• high stakes bingo where one guy kissed 6 girls blindfolded and had to tell who was the best kisser! hahahahahahahaha.
• watched a couple DTR
• shot metalic kitchen utensils
• ate real food at Angies.
• institute dance. by far the best dance i've ever been to.
• karaoke to Hero by my man enrique iglesias
• creeped with betsy to find out if cute kitchen towels and blenders belonged to girls or guys. {and i was right. it was a girls apartment! 15 points for me!}
• did a man's job-fixed the blinds. {w/betsy and all we used were a screw driver and needle nose pliers. who needs men when you have the brains of dedicated college girls??....}
• swam at the oakridge pool.
• found that even as adult college students, some guys still take their Flintstone vitamins. whatever it takes to be healthy!

• and garin wore betsy's shorts. hahahahhhahhahah. top 10 funniest things of my semester thus far.
• hot tubed and scooped dead bees out of the hot tub. sick
• tried this new kind of top romen called "creamy chicken". sounds good, no? wrong! DO NOT give in to the temptation to try this kind. it is deeeee scust ing. trust me.
• girl talk
• Betsy became my mom. and i might become her aunt. we should write a song similar to "i'm my own grandpa" minus the annoyingness of it.
• oregon trail on Betsy's i touch. and 2 of my 3 kiddos got carried away by the balding Eagles! So sad. i cried. but only a little.
• how to lose a guy in 10 days. "our love fern!!!! you let it DIIIIIIEEEEE!!!!!"
• met my FHE dad and brothers. FYI, it is possible to have a dad younger than you.
• saw the first "bourne" movie for the first time!

this was right before we watched the movie. haha

• sketched a wire whisk, 5 times.

well that's good for now. I'm not cooking anything too elaborate tomorrow for recipe wednesday. but it's still something i've never made before. get your excited faces on!
